About

A’Origins is a culinary venture offering specialized gourmet experiences that highlight indigenous ingredients from across India. Our services include food production, inventory sourcing, restaurant consulting, training, boutique catering, and curated pop-ups.

We’ve collaborated with brands like Marriott and The Meghalayan Age, served at G20 events, hosted guests such as the Ambassador of Japan to India, partnered with global fermentor Jason White, and been featured in Condé Nast Traveller.

Mission

Our mission is to honour ancestral wisdom and culinary heritage by embracing indigenous ingredients, sustainable practices, and authentic storytelling. Rooted in the philosophy of “By Mother Earth, For Mother Earth,” we aim to create meaningful food experiences that celebrate our matrilineal traditions, respect nature, and inspire a deeper connection between people, culture, and the land. 

Founder & Chef’s Background

Born into a Jaintia household as the youngest daughter, I was raised within the customs of our matrilineal tradition, where family and heritage hold deep significance. I pursued my professional training in Culinary Arts at Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA), Manipal University, Karnataka, and have five years of formal industry experience.

A’Origins draws inspiration from our community’s deep-rooted connection to nature, with a strong emphasis on indigenous ingredients and traditional food systems passed down through generations. Each dish reflects this knowledge, blending cultural and sustainable practices with authenticity—while embracing global techniques and contemporary menu development.
